The QS SPLC is complemented by the introduction of CC-Link Safety. CCLS extends the capability of the successful CC-Link open device level network by adding SIL 3 certified protocol extensions. Together, the QS SPLC and CCLS allow safety-critical I/O to be located and controlled anywhere in a plant or on a machine with the necessary levels of reliability and performance. CCLS offers the same 10Mbit/s performance as CC-Link, while allowing the additional flexibility of combining CC-Link non-safety I/O with the safety I/O on a single network, thus increasing cost-effectiveness.
